Marlene McKinnon was on he way to Diagon Alley. The reason why she was going, was to get ready for her journey back to Hogwarts. She was about to enter her sixth year at Hogwarts. She was so exited to go back. Hogwarts was like a second home to her. She loved everything about the school and most of the people there. She couldn't wait.
When she had arrived in Diagon Ally she head right for Flourish & Blotts. The store had most of the school books she needed for the year. She entered the store,(which was full of people). Marlene pushed around looking at a list, of books she needed to get. It was so hard to get around the place. There were so many people trying to get there books for school.
Marlene could not take the crowd anymore ,so she took her books that she had, up to the counter and payed. She went out side and took and deep breath of air.She hated big crowds of people. It made her panic. It always made her feel like she would be lost forever if she stayed in big crowds.
Marlene stood outside waiting for the crowd in the bookstore to die out and for her to finish what she need to get. She stood next to the steps and leaned up against the wall, just waiting.

Preparing Before School Remus pushed his way through the horde of people, frantically searching for all the supplies he would need. He wanted to find the correct items quickly, for he was supposed to meet his friends soon over in the Leaky Cauldron. They were sure to be making up some kind of scheme for the new school year. Although Remus wasn't quite sure if he wanted to get involved with another prank, he knew he would give in eventually. He always did.
Remus smiled at a passing first year and the mother that accompanied him. He remembered the nervousness he felt about going to Hogwarts at first, and how it had almost faded away when he finally had friends. That was why he could never say no to them. He dreaded the time when they would desert him. He would be completely miserable, depressed even. So he said nothing as the hexed Severus, or when they laughed at girls who fell for their pranks. Even if it bothered him, there was nothing much he could do.
Remus picked up his books at Flourish & Blotts , checking his shopping list periodically to make sure he was purchasing only what he needed. His parents had trusted Remus to shop by himself for the last 3 years, and he hated disappointing them. He had already caused them to worry for his safety due to his condition. His family wasn't very rich anyway. Buying more than needed would be selfish and wasteful decision. Remus walked out of the store, happy to be once again in the fresh air. As he started to walk away from the bookstore, he noticed a girl in his year and house. Marlene. They had spoken once in a while, but they weren't great friends. If it wasn't for the troubled expression on the girl's face, Remus would have probably just gone on to the Leaky Cauldron.
"Hi, Marlene. Are you alright?" asked Remus, quietly. He spoke softly, so he wouldn't startle her, but also because his voice was naturally whispery. It was a perfect voice for a library, but it wasn't exactly great for being in a large crowd. He repeated himself louder to make sure she had heard. He just hoped he wasn't disturbing Marlene if she was doing meditation or something like that. He did it once in awhile, and it was extremely annoying if someone broke his concentration.

While Marlene was waiting, she had heard her name. She look to see who was calling her.She saw that it was Remus from school. They where in the same year and house,so they knew each other."Hi Remus!"She said with a bright warming smile."Oh I am fine just getting some air. There is a lot of people in there."she said to him. It was obvious from the pack store." I hate cowards, gives me a panic attack,so I came out here.
Marlene wondered where Remus was going but she didn't want to ask because she didn't want to seem nosy. She really was quite bored of waiting at the store. She had no idea what to do,so she decide to ask anyway."So where are you going too?"She asked.
(sorry for shortness writers block!)

Speaking to Marlene The smile Marlene gave him reassured him that he was not bothering her, or if he was, that the girl would be too polite to say so. He gave a sympathetic nod when she mentioned that she panicked from crowds. Remus had never panicked from them before, but he certainly didn't like them. When he got lost in them, it felt as if the world was spinning too fast, or that he was stuck in a hole that would swallow him up. It may seem odd to others, but Remus was always a nervous child, so maybe that is why he didn't' like a lot of things other people didn't mind. Remus was just happy to find another person who felt the same way.
At Marlene's next question, Remus hesitated. If he remembered correctly, Marlene was one that did not approve of the Maraudors, and what they did to some Slytherins. He didn't want to seem like he came to Diagon Alley only to think up ways to terrorize more unsuspecting students for the next year. It wouldn't be true anyway. Though James and Sirius still did not get along with Severus, they had calmed down a bit from their earlier years. Unfortunately for them, they had built so much of a negative reputation over the years that stopping their more vicious pranks was not enough to clear up everything. Keeping this in mind, Remus decided to tell her that he was meeting some friends without naming anyone.
"Oh, I was just going to meet up with some friends at the Leaky Cauldron." replied Remus, a small yet uncomfortable smile appearing on his face. Remus had forgotten that many people would just assume that by friends he meant the Maraudors. The terms were practically interchangeable to him. He had spent his whole years with those 3, so just not naming names would most likely not protect anything. He couldn't help himself from asking his next question, while his eyes remained cast down to the ground.
"Do you mind them? I mean, the Maraudors. Do you think we're just a bunch of trouble makers?" he asked, wincing at the term trouble makers. He had heard that word used to describe them so many times that he still felt bad whenever someone referred to them as that. He wasn't quite sure why. It wasn't an awfully insulting word or anything. It was more of the implication that title held that bothered Remus. Part of him regretted asking the sudden question, but another waited eagerly for the answer. He really needed to learn the extent of the annoyance with that exclusive group.
((It's alright. I get that all the time. )

Marlene wasn't a big fan of the Marauders group ,but she wasn't going to be mean to Remus. Out of all the Marauders Remus was the nicest. She never understand why he hung out with them. He was such a sweet heart, unless he was playing pranks. The Marauders group prank people pretty bad.She had remember her filth year at Hogwarts, where James had embarrassed Severus,by pulling his pants down and how Lily was furious.
When Remus had told her where he was going, she had an idea he was going to meet up,with James, Sirius, and Peter. She wasn't going to say out loud to him because she didn't want Remus to be more uncomfortable She had seen the smile appearing on his face, which looked very uneasy.Marlene watched the uncomfortable Remus. She wait to hear what he had to say.
Marlene giggled a bit when he had asked his next question."Well I'm not a big fan,but I don't hate all of you."She said giving of a smile "I mean is that I really don't like Sirius." By saying his name it annoyed her."You and Peter aren't so bad you guys are guys what can I say."She laughed a bit. "You guys are trouble makers tho!"

Heading Off Remus let out a small chuckle. He supposed that they were trouble makers, but he was still content to know that he wasn't the worst of the bunch. At the same time, he was a bit put off by Marlene's comment about Sirius. Remus was a loyal friend, and he didn't enjoy people making tart remarks towards them even if they did deserve it.
Marlene was looking better now, and if she wasn't perfect, she was at least not as flustered as she had been to begin with. Satisfied, Remus decided that he might as well go on his merry way. He thought Marlene was a nice girl and all, but he really had nothing else to say. He wasn't one to make meaningless chit chat just to stop silence. At least not when he was with people he didn't know well.
"Well, I better shove off. I hope you find everything you need." said Remus, shoving his school supplies under one arm. He walked away through the crowd, trying not to shove people as he moved. He glanced back once in a while until he could no longer recognize Marlene's face in the mass of people.
(Sorry! I'm missing a lot of muse.)
