Post by Remus Lupin on Jun 17, 2009 9:02:09 GMT -5
Name: Remus Lupin
House: Gryffindor
Year: 6th Year
Why You Should Have This Ability: When Remus was very young, the fierce werewolf Greyback took a chomp out of poor Remus. This resulted in newfound abilities for the young boy like inhuman strength and a good sense of smell. However, it also turned out to be more of a curse for the boy. Every full moon Remus would transform into a fearsome werewolf, and many times he could not control his urges to feast on human flesh. This was very problematic when Remus was preparing to come to Hogwarts. Luckily, the headmaster, Dumbledore, built a passageway from the dangerous Whomping Willow to the secluded Shrieking Shack to ensure the safety of the students. For his whole duration at Hogwarts, Remus would take this passage before his transformations, and sometimes, a few friends would come with him.
Role Play Sample(Using Your Ability): Remus sat alone in the Shrieking Shack, dreading the sinking of the sun. He knew what was coming, yet he still feared it with every pore of his body. A single, but an intense and sharp pain traveled the distance from the tip of his spinal cord to the end of his lower back. This was the very beginning of his transformation. Remus's breathing became nothing more than shallow and weak intakes of air and became increasingly frequent as the pain spread. His face collapsed, growing more contracted like the canine he was about to become. His hair grew at a rapid rate, growing darker than what was supposed to be possible. Of course, none of this was really supposed to be possible. His hands shrunk while his finger nails went the opposite way and grew. Remus' s conscious thoughts were gone except for one continuous mantra, "I need blood. Give me blood." Pity that there were no humans there. He needed it though. So badly. Finding nothing else to do, Remus bit into his own skin. The pain was there, but it was slightly muffled. He was losing consciousness again. As perhaps a final try to stay awake, a deep growl in the back of Remus's throat started to grow into a scream, and he released it into the lonesome shack. It pierced the night air as nothing more than a scared and miserable howl. Remus willingly fell into the spreading blackness, his energy completely used up.

Name:Serena Adams
House:Hufflepuff
Year:7th
Why You Should Have This Ability:Serena's family of generations before her have been able to control elements. Not only that, but her father's grandparents were bitten by unknown werewolves. The elemental powers skipped her father and went straight to her. She is able to control the elements of fire, water, earth, wind, lightning. When she was about five years old, her grandfather lost control of himself on the full moon. Seeing only Serena, her bit her and scarred her up. Serena now has long scars that run down her body. She is ashamed of them and tries to hide them from anyone, but fellow werewolves.
Role Play Sample(Using Your Ability):It was a full moon, yet again. Serena had told the headmaster of this, so he knew she left every full moon. She was wandering around and saw another person, whom she recognized as the gryfindor werewolf. She winced as her body morphed into what she was eternally cursed to be. She had stumbled into a tree, and howling with pain transformed completely. She lay on the ground panting. She hated what she was eternally cursed to be. Every day, she cursed her grandfather for this. She loped along quietly hoping to find someplace to rest. She needed it after that, after every full moon she tried to rest some.

Name:August Latona
House:Gryffindor
Year:6th
Why You Should Have This Ability:Metamorphmagus is a huge part of August's heritage. Almost everyone on her father's side of the family have the ability although August is the only one the ability got passed on to in her section of the family.
Role Play Sample(Using Your Ability): August grinned at her little cousins. When the adults were looking away, she quickly turned her hair three shades of pink in the seconds flat. At the sound of their laughter, the adults looked back and her hair instantly turned back to its normal brown. Her brother walked by and muttered "Show off" Under his breath. She stuck her tongue out at his retreating back and covered her tongue with polka dots. Obviously it looked really weird because of the peals of laughter echoing around the small room. Instead of getting up to find a mirror August tried to see her tongue. All she managed to do was get dizzy from crossing her eyes. Shooting another smile at the kids, she went up in search of something to drink.

Post by Sirius Black on Jul 20, 2009 7:35:16 GMT -5
Name: Sirius Black
House: Gryffindor
Year: Sixth
Why You Should Have This Ability: Because it's canon? Nah, just kidding. Sirius, James, and Peter became animagi to help Remus through his transformation. It was a rather difficult piece of magic, but after the Marauder's Map, anything was possible! After a year and a half of almost non-stop work, he found he could transform into a big, black dog, that looked eerily like a grim.
Role Play Sample(Using Your Ability): Sirius coughed, closing his eyes tightly. He tried to remember what the book had said. "Be your form.. Be your form." He muttered to himself. He whispered the incantation. That was one of the most difficult parts of the entire transformation, was the wandless magic that was required. Well, that and making sure you didn't lose your mind to the animal, but where's the fun in not doing that a few times? He laughed, and it came out as a sharp bark. He blinked in shock, looking down at his fourlegged, black fur covered body. He grinned, bounding over to the Willow. It was a transformation night, after all, and he had to get ready for the fun that would be had!
