History;
Andromeda Cassiopeia Black was the second child born to Cygnus and Druella Black. She came two years after older sister Bella, and two years before younger sister Narcissa. Growing up, Andromeda was always seen as a bit different. Bella and Cissy accepted the Black family line without question, figuring that if their parents believed it, it must be right. Andromeda was more of the questioning type, asking why certain wizards were better than the others, and other such things. This shocked Cygnus and Druella, but they played along with it, figuring that Andromeda would grow out of it at some point.
Needless to say, she didn't, she just got a lot better at hiding it.
It did seem a bit odd when the middle Black sister was sorted into Ravenclaw. However, Ravenclaw was not as low on the totem pole as Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, so it was acceptable. At least Cygnus and Druella accepted it. Their daughter was in a house known for it's intelligence. Wasn't as fantastic as Slytherin, but it was acceptable enough. Andromeda was scared upon first entering Ravenclaw, but she quickly realized that she could relish the time away from her family.
Despite her efforts, Bella kept an eye on her little sister at school during her first year and saw that Andromeda wasn't being as good as she was acting. She was seen conversing with Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors even, the two houses that were completely out of bounds for a proper Black girl. Realizing that she needed to keep up her act, Andromeda would hide whenever she met with students from other houses, although she also pushed some of them away. She'd heard the stories growing up, just like her sisters, of what happened to the Black family members who didn't behave. She didn't want to end up like them.
Lately though, she's been spending a lot of time with a certain Muggleborn by the name of Ted Tonks. She is finding herself more and more attracted to him, but realizes that her family will not be pleased if they learn his heritage. It's getting closer and closer to the moment of truth, and it's driving Andromeda crazy with stress.

Overall Personality;
Andromeda is largely two-sided. There is one side that she shows to her family, and another that she shows to the rest of the world. She is incredibly secretive no matter who she is with. She has always been more friendly and accepting of others than the rest of her family, as evidenced by the fact that she's made many friends that aren't even in her house.
She is for the most part bubbly, although she can sink into more depressed states when she thinks she'd disappointed her family's name. While she doesn't agree with most of the Black family things, she does have a bit of a pompous attitude toward others and believes she's a bit higher up than the rest. Not because she's pureblood though, but because she's been spoiled all of her life just like her sisters and it's what she's used to.

The remote alley within an alley was littered with the bodies of the Organization men. The danger wasn't averted, however. None of these men, as far as the Turner siblings knew, were dead. Their best bet was hightailing it back to Diagon Alley before they found themselves into even deeper trouble. Mark started to help Chelsea out of the alley. He couldn't even hear Elizabeth, but Chelsea could. And she didn't need telling twice. She turned around and smiled at Elizabeth.
"Avada Kadavra!"
There was a flash of green light, and Chelsea crumpled to the ground like a ragdoll. Mark shouted out, sure that he'd heard wrong. Of course, he was distracted by what possibly happened to Chelsea, and therefore the man that attacked his sister had a chance to take on Mark while he wasn't looking. A cowardly move, but effective nonetheless. Mark was pushed against the nearest wall, his arm being twisted into a position arms shouldn't be put into. There was a loud cracking noise, and it was pretty obvious what had become of Mark's arm.
Then something happened. Mark turned around, but his eyes looked strangely distant.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?"
He slipped his wand out of his pocket with his remaining arm and pointed it at the man. Curiosity was the only thing stopping him from killing Mark.
Unfortunately, curiosity would be his downfall. The corners of Mark's mouth turned up into a smirk, a smirk that might look very familiar to someone visiting from, oh, forty or fifty years in the future.
"Avada Kadavra." The man fell to the ground much like Chelsea, followed by Mark, who had drifted into unconsciousness in the few seconds that lingered after he casted the spell that he'd never casted before and would probably never cast again in this lifetime.
Meanwhile, Chelsea watched this entire thing. She cheered Mark on, then went over to help him. When she was halfway there, she noticed a very familiar looking female body laying on the ground not far from where Mark was. Her eyes were wide open. Chelsea knew those eyes. She let out a scream of horror, full of more anguish than the scream she'd let out earlier. Despite the sheer volume of said scream, only one person would hear it.
